The Vltava River is undoubtedly the most famous Czech river. The most popular section is the upper fork above the Lipno Dam. The river fl ows through unspoiled landscapes in the Šumava National Park. In the section from Vyšší Brod to Boršov the river fi ghts its way through a narrow wooded valley rich in historic places of interest, e.g. the castle of Rožmberk, the monastries in Vyšší Brod and Zlatá Koruna, the ruin of Dívčí Kámen. Canoeing along the river alongside the historical town of Cesky Krumlov will be an unforgettable experience.
Itinerary - 7 days, 95 km
Day 1
Meeting point in Prague. Transportation to Soumarský Most. Accommodation at a river campsite.
Day 2
Lenora – Soumarský Most, 7 km. Train transport to the village of Lenora. Optional hiking trip to the primeval Boubín Forest. Afternoon river instructions and training on the river followed by a trip to the Soumarský Most region. Accommodation at a river campsite.
Day 3
Soumarský most – Pěkná, 17 km. Trip through the heart of Šumava National Park. Then transportation by the Lipno Dam to Vyšší Brod. Camp accommodation.
Day 4
Vyšší Brod – Rožmberk, 12 km. Travel through the Vltava River valley to the Rožmberk Castle foothills. Optional castle tour. Camp accommodation.
Day 5
Rožmberk – Český Krumlov, 22 km. An easy but longer day trip that takes us to the historic town of Český Krumlov. Camp accommodation. Individual night tour around the town.
Day 6
Český Krumlov – Dívčí Kámen, 27 km. Tour through the town’s historic centre, then we will ride by the foothills surrounding Kleť Mountain (in this region it’s the tallest mountain altitude 1.084 m) and to the Dívčí Kámen castle ruins. Accommodation at a river campsite.
Day 7
Dívčí Kámen – Boršov, 10 km. The programme ends in a suburb of České Budějovice, transport to Prague.

Day 1
Meeting point in Prague. Transport to Vyšší Brod. Camp accommodation.
Day 2
Vyšší Brod – Rožmberk. 12 km. After the basic instructions and training, the fi rst sail, optional visit to the Monastery of Vyšší Brod or Rožmberk castle. Camp accommodation.
Day 3
Rožmberk – Český Krumlov, 22 km. Camp accommodation. Individual night programme.
Day 4
Český Krumlov – Zlatá Koruna, 17 km. Camp accomodation.
Day 5
Zlatá Koruna – Boršov, 20 km. Camp accomodation. The programme ends, transport to Prague.
