The river Sázava is the river of hikers and river trip freaks who are being brought by the famous “Posázavský Pacifi k” train every week. Here you can fi nd wonderful and wild rapids at the Svořidla section or between the Krhanice and Pikovice villages but also long calm sections where the river hardly ripples. The Sázava River is wellknown for a high number of weirs many of which are possible to be canoed down, which makes the trips more diverse and adventurous. The diffi culty of the sections from Svořidla and Týnec to Pikovice is WW2. For the less experienced participants infl atable two-seated canoes are more suitable. This sections are not suitable for children under the age of 6.
Itinerary 4 days, 51 km
Day 1
Meeting point in Prague. Transfer to Kácov. Accommodation in a camp.
Day 2
Kácov to Kuchelník, 21 km. Training of the canoeing technique. Tour around the famous Český Štenberk Castle. Accommodation in a camp.
Day 3
Kuchelník to Sázava, 13 km. From Sázava to Týnec nad Sázavou by Posázavský Pacifi k” train. Accommodation in a camp.
Day 4
Týnec to Pikovice, 17 km. Splendid section where the Sázava river fl ows through long rapids via a deep valley. The level of diffi culty is WW2. End of the programme. Transfer to Prague.
Itinerary 8 days, 108 km
Day 1
Meeting point in Prague. Transfer to the nature reserve Stvořidla. Accommodation in a camp.
Day 2
Svořidla, 5 km. Training of the canoeing technique. Trip down the rapids of the Stvořidla Nature Reserve. Optional visit of the nearby town of Lipnice in the afternoon. Here is a castle, and a house and pub of a famous Czech writer Jaroslav Hašek (the author of Good Soldier Švejk). Accomodation at a river campsite at Stvořidla.
Day 3
Stvořidla to Chřenovice, 19 km. Trip through a dreamy and picturesque countryside of the Czech Moravian Highlands. Accomodation in a camp.
Day 4
Chřenovice to Horka, 12 km. Accomodation in a camp.
Day 5
Horka to Kácov, 21 km. Optional visit of a small local brewery established in 1457. Accommodation in a camp.
Day 6
Kácov to Kuchelník, 21 km. Tour around the famous Český Štenberk Castle. Accommodation in a camp.
Day 7
Kuchelník to Sázava, 13 km. From Sázava to Týnec nad Sázavou by Posázavský Pacifi k” train. Accommodation in a camp.
Day 8
Týnec to Pikovice, 17 km. Splendid section where the Sázava river fl ows through long rapids via a deep valley. The level of diffi culty is WW2. End of the programme. Transfer to Prague.
